About the Journal

INSANIA: Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanity is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by PT. Pilar Cendekia Indonesia. The journal is dedicated to advancing the development of Islamic studies through an integrative, interdisciplinary, and human-centered approach. INSANIA serves as an academic forum for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and observers of Islamic studies to examine Islam not only as a normative religious tradition, but also as a source of knowledge, ethical reflection, social analysis, and practical solutions to contemporary human challenges.

The journal seeks to promote scholarly works that connect the primary sources of Islam, particularly the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical Islamic intellectual traditions, with the realities of modern human life. INSANIA welcomes critical, contextual, and interdisciplinary studies that explore the relationship between Islamic teachings and various dimensions of humanity, including social, cultural, educational, ethical, economic, political, legal, environmental, technological, and humanitarian issues.

INSANIA: Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanity accepts original research articles, conceptual papers, and critical literature reviews that contribute to the enrichment of Islamic studies and broader discourses on humanity. The journal particularly encourages manuscripts that employ approaches from the humanities, social sciences, and applied sciences to understand and respond to contemporary issues from Islamic perspectives.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, Islamic thought and civilization, Qur’anic and Hadith studies, Islam and humanities, Islam and social sciences, Islamic education and human development, Islamic ethics and contemporary issues, applied Islamic studies, and interdisciplinary Islamic studies. Through this scope, INSANIA is committed to strengthening Islamic scholarship that is academically rigorous, socially relevant, ethically grounded, and responsive to the complexities of contemporary humanity.

Accordingly, INSANIA: Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanity is expected to become a scholarly publication platform that contributes to the development of inclusive, reflective, contextual, and solution-oriented Islamic studies, while enriching academic discourse on the relationship between Islam, knowledge, and humanity.
